FAQs
Q: Works are scheduled to start today but I have to attend an appointment, what do I do?
A: No problem. If you contact us as soon as you are aware of any other commitment, we can make alternative arrangements if required.
For some external works, it may be possible for the works to be carried out whilst you are not at home. We will advise you if this is an option.
Alternatively, we will arrange with you another mutually convenient date for the works to start/continue as soon as possible. However, please be aware that in busy periods there may be a slight delay if other work has been booked in prior. We will, in any case keep you fully informed.
Q: Works are scheduled to start today but it is raining, will the work still be undertaken?
A: If the works are completely internal, rain will not affect the works being undertaken. However, due to the nature of some external works, it is essential to have good weather.
Whenever works are scheduled, we monitor the weather forecast closely and if it appears that there may be a problem, we contact you as soon as we are aware and will remain in contact with you right up until that morning. If there is a problem and works are unable to be undertaken, you will be notified and we will arrange another date with you as soon as possible.
Q: I have entered into a contract for works on my property and I wish for changes to be made to the design/ different materials to be used, what do I do?
A: Please contact us straight away. We understand that sometimes our customers will change their mind on a certain design or colour. We also understand that sometimes you may be out and about and see something different on another property that you prefer. Due to this, we will always try to work with you to accommodate any requests that you may have.
Please note that if works have already started, reasonable costs for materials used and labour will be payable in addition to materials ordered that cannot be utilised elsewhere. It depends also how long has passed since you agreed the contracted works. Additionally if the choice of new materials is more expensive or extra labour is required, the price will change accordingly. In any case though, any changes or options will be discussed at length and any changes will be agreed in writing.
Q: There is something on my contract that I am unsure about, what do I do?
A: We feel very strongly that the customer should have a full understanding of all aspects of the contract. We ensure that the sales person who drafts the contract explains fully all sections with the customer. We then send out a contract confirmation letter shortly after that breaks down the details of the contract and kindly asks if the details could be checked. If there is still any uncertainty, please contact us immediately where we will be pleased to assist you.
